Review of 2010 (1984) by Adam T — 09 Feb 2017
A surprisingly stripped-down sequel to '2001', it functions more as a tense, Cold War drama than a profound science fiction movie. That said, the special effects are stunning (though not as ground-breaking as they would have been in the late '60s), the performances are measured and although there are no answers to the big questions posed in the first movie, the story does feel more cathartic and uplifting.
