Review of 2036 Origin Unknown (2018) by Tomhug — 16 Jul 2021

This movie attempts to explore some interesting ideas. Unfortunately I don't think anyone in this movie has the acting gravitas to make the presentation of these ideas work. Also a factor is that the original author also wrote the screenplay as well as directed it.

I think the ideas might have benefited by other viewpoints that balanced and leavened any tendency to take things too far or leave them partially unexplained. It's an ambitious plot, but suffers in the end from a bit too much of an M.
