The Devil's Rejects is one of my all time favorite movies. I am a fan of Zombie's work generally, though I think Halloween 2 and 31 were middling. This one was, however, a disaster. Many of the scenes were like bad music videos which didn't advance the plot in the least.
I'm gonna chalk it up to Sid Haig's unfortunate health issues and say better luck next time. I won't abandon Zombie as a director over it, but this was just not a good film by any metric.
