Yes, it should hit viewers as "an empty exercise in stylish gore".. absolutely no strategy or tactics are even suggested by anyone - particularly Eva Green from whom one should expect them.. she, herein, unfortunately also has only one acting note - if one can even call it 'acting'.
. I give it one star because it has a unique 'look', & I also like Eva Green's 'look' despite her performance here - & I like Lena Headey as well.. And yes, it depends primarily on the violence it generates.
