I'm really stunned at the bad reviews for this film. I think the action/adventure, Marvelization of movies means we can't have something that resembles art in what's perceived as an action movie. And worse, it's about actual history HOW BORING!
This was a creative, thoughtful, well-acted and constructed movie with, yes, some iconoclastic movie-making techniques and storytelling.
This is one of the best movies I've seen this year, but I think maybe you need to know some history to grok what is really going on, where it comes from and where it ends up. You know, about the planet you live on?
