Review of A Face in the Crowd (1957) by Chris M — 02 Feb 2009
Hilarious, dramatic, sad, and disturbing...even those words can't give A Face in the Crowd a proper description. It's a tale of power, greed, and celebrity that is possibly the best of its kind.
Andy Griffith gives the gives what is probably the performance of his career. The supporting cast is equally fantastic in this well written Elia Kazan directed masterpiece. You can't do much better than this under-appreciated gem.
