Review of A Home at the End of the World (2004) by Private U — 19 Feb 2009
Absolutely touching. This film really just captures what it's like to try to find your place, figure yourself out, and navigate various relationships. I never really liked Colin Farrell until I saw him act in this film; he plays the lead, Bobby, beautifully, maybe even perfectly.
I think Bobby is an excellent character; he isn't cliche or stereotypical. Dallas Roberts is excellent as Bobby's lifelong friend Jonathan.
