Review of A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014) by Nicholasbert — 24 Oct 2014
Seth MacFarland is a genius, no doubt about that. Some bits in Family Guy contain satire, political activism and humour all in once; but A Million Ways is a little too vulgar and not enough entertaining. The jokes are randomly placed throughout the whole of it, and most of them have already been heard.
We can really see MacFarland is not really much of an actor as he is a writer, but he can still get away with it because people know that's not what he's supposed to be doing. Besides that, the other "important" actors in this film must have had a great deal of fun working on it, so I guess it paid off being in a brainless comedy.
It's a parody, so I'm not sure if the set and the costumes were supposed to look fake, either way they do.
