Review of A Passage to India (1984) by Justin M — 25 Jun 2010
This one sort of came out of nowhere for me. I had no idea that I would like it this much. What I like about Lean's directing is that while he makes long movies he doesn't make boring ones. He's simply in no hurry to tell his story; if the plot takes three hours to run its course, then that's just how long the movie has to be.
And I'm on board with that. This is a terrific movie and at no point did I ever feel as if there was anything I'd rather be doing than watching it.
