Review of A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence (2014) by Peter C — 12 Nov 2015
Easily the funniest movie of the year for me. Comedic timing masterclass. Jacques Tati lives on. Andersson is more interested in letting the audience laugh at the suffering and naivety of every lost soul.
On the other hand - the production design, sound design, makeup, acting, and pacing makes this another masterpiece from Andersson. In the Best-Picture-of-My-Heart awards race, this is the frontrunner.
