Review of A Separation (2011) by Tushar S — 17 Apr 2014

This was probably one of the most difficult movie-watching experienced we've ever had... It was so good that it seems it has fully accomplished the writer's manifold purposes for telling this story. Left us feeling so much angst and sadness at the helplessness of our human condition. Most times we are all simply trying our best to do what is right for our loved ones, but it just seems our best is not enough.

My heart was brought on such a roller-coaster ride of pain and sorrow from identifying with the plight and struggles of all the major characters (there really aren't any antagonists in this story), it left me in awe and committing to write a first-ever movie review. Incredibly good acting and a tight, finely-paced telling of an exquisite story, truly a work of art.
