Review of A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas (2011) by Stanley C — 29 Sep 2018
ALL the jokes missed, there is epic music and some powerful emotional drama but it lacks the same clever comedy as did White Castle and Escape G-Bay, and the plot is thin: it's just Harold and Kumar looking for a Christmas tree, which surprisingly turns out to be JUST as hard as looking for a White Castle restaurant not yet torn down and replaced or running away from government agents who think they work for terrorists.
I also didn't like much the "Deus ex machina" elements of the story easily fixing up Harold and Kumar's problems such as Harold's excellent ping pong aim and the Waffle Bot (science fiction in a Harold and Kumar movie??).
