Starts off as an interesting science fiction, but then the whole thing moves away from the physics angle and goes straight into fantasy, and becomes a pretty much completely typical family fantasy story.
Some interesting ideas and visuals and whatnot, but otherwise it's just stock standard, which is the most frustrating thing of all with something like this. Pity, but oh well.
