A Wrinkle in Time - Review (2018).
The Good.
Storm Reid is really good.
The Visual Effects are really good.
Its a good message for kids.
The Bad.
Ava DuVernay's Disappointingly Bland Direction, it felt she got lost in the Big Budget it didn't feel like Selma or 13th, and now she's doing another Big Budget movie with New God's I'd rather have her back to smaller projects.
The Script is confusing and all over the place that feels rushed.
Deric McCabe's as Meg's adopted Brother is completely terrible and sadly to say cause he's only a child, but man he's not good, his voice was irritating, here's hoping he's better when he gets older.
All the Supporting Actors try their best like Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Oprah who are fully in the first act then theybdisappear .
Chris Pine gets the most emotional stuff, but doesn't really land to elevate a messy script.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw , Michael Pena and Moonlight's fantastic Andrà (C) Holland are all completely wasted.
Its very boring.
The weird humor.
Overall: This was a major disappointment for Ava Duvernay as I was hoping for a great movie but turned out to be just meh.
Overall Grade: D+.
