A Wrinkle in Time does contain some impressive visual, but storywise it is very incoherent. Sometimes it comes off as a string of unrelated scenes edited together. The acting is very bad, for the most part.
Storm Reid actually does do a good job in her role. The characters aren't very well fleshed out. Calvin, in particular, just randomly appears and serves no further purpose to the film. He just tags along.
The message was great, but I wish they took a more subtle approach. Instead, they beat you over the head with it. Ava DuVernay seemed to have good intentions her, you know what they say about good intentions.
Unfortunately, this film does not deliver and is a huge misfire. Can't recommend anyone see this film.
