It was a decent movie with a lot of heart and stunning visuals. There are definitely changes made in the translation from book to screen, some of which work really well and others that personally annoyed me (though I did just reread the book, so it is fresh).
Meg's arc especially works well. If you go in with an open mind, this film is very enjoyable.
