Review of ABCs of Death 2 (2014) by Cole E — 28 Mar 2015
"ABCs of Death 2" may be better than its predecessor, but it still has many of the mistakes that plagued the first. Its primary problem is that nearly all of the 26 directors felt they either had to make some sort of political/societal statement or tried to be overly intelligent and complex in the short time they were given.
Many of the segments don't work and some are just painful to watch, but the ones that do work make this worth a watch, maybe, I don't know.... how do you review 26 movies at once? I'll just end with this: someone thought that gathering 26 filmmakers with different cinematic visions to come together on 1 anthology horror film would be a good idea.
.. and that person's insane.
