It's a perfect script in my opinion. And it's only taken to more levels with the way Alexander Payne is able to let simplicity hold the emotions of a film. "About Schmidt" is a film featuring one of Hollywood's biggest actors of all time taken to the lowest scale of production and smallest story on the screen only to connect with humans at the most personal and relatable level.
