Review of Adore (2013) by Michael S — 05 Sep 2018
Any critic attempting to accuse this of trying to come off as a feminist manifesto says more about the critic than the film. The two female lead characters are clearly hiding the relationships throughout, even leaving the impression with one attempted amorous interloper that they are engaged in a lesbian relationship so he can't intrude on what is going on.
They are also intermittently appalled at and ashamed of giving in to their nearly incestuous-tinged desires. It's not a great film nor is it a bad one, I enjoyed it at least two stars worth I mean who can pass up great sex scenes involving Watts and Wright?
