Review of Aftersun (2022) by Honestreviews66 — 29 Apr 2023
I understand that sometimes you have to read between the lines, but the idea here is supposedly that an adult woman is reflecting on her childhood holiday with her father. Only problem is, we only see the adult woman for a matter of minutes, so we don't really know what effect the past has actually had on her.
And nothing really happened on that holiday. Yes there's a few scenes where we're supposed to interpret things, but I would have preferred a couple more traditional scenes. You know, where something actually happens.
Well acted, though. And different.
