Review of Aimée & Jaguar (1999) by Bruno L — 31 Dec 2010
An extraordinary performance (maria schrader) of an extraordinary woman, felice schragenheim who, at least as it's depicted in this film, fell in love with a vacuous infantile woman (played by juliane kohler).
schrader/schragenheim are beyond memorable, and the film is most effective as a nazi-era berlin slice-of-life exploring the friendships between a group of smart, empowered (and gay) jewish resistance fighters.
