Review of Air (2023) by Compi24 — 16 Apr 2023
Easily my favorite film of his since "Gone Baby Gone," "Air" finds director and co-star Ben Affleck in top form, pouring his obvious love and passion for the true-to-life story and figures into one of the year's best projects.
Not only is this gripping and engaging for both sneakerheads and NBA fans alike, but it's unequivocally hilarious and enthralling, with enough for any admirer of underdog stories to sink their teeth into.
As ever, Damon and Affleck are magnetic onscreen together, but don't discount the rest of this supporting cast — namely, Viola Davis, Jason Bateman, Chris Messina and Chris Tucker. I honestly wish this came out much later in the year, as I feel this has such clear awards season potential and is one of the year's best thus far.
A clear must-watch.
