Review of Aladdin (2019) by Blackvegetable — 29 Sep 2019

Aladdin is a fun movie to watch. It mostly follows the same plot as the original Disney movie, but they tweaked the story a little to create more depth for the new actors and thereby also making the movie a bit more original and more fun to watch. They adapted the genie role very well to fit Will Smiths acting, thereby giving him a podium to create his own version of the genie, which worked out very well. Disney also paid more attention to equality and the impact of the female actors, though the new songs created to support the female characters didn't really work out for me.

Conclusion: a real life version of the original Aladdin; very much the same, a little tweaked, and thereby fun to watch.
