Review of Aladdin (2019) by Jtrapdoor1 — 04 Jun 2019
This film is incredibly strange to me. The part I was not looking forward to: Genie was surprisingly the best part of the film. I mean, I was not looking forward to Jafar either but that proved to be spot on gut feeling.
The main actor and actress are kind of bland and their acting does give off great chemistry like the original characters had. Will Smith steals the show very often and with what else is on display, you will be glad that he did.
The musical numbers are fantastic and incredibly energetic. I personally left the film a little sour due to some questionable changes and character motivations. Another Disney classic hit my the mediocre Live Action bug that Disney has become obsessed with.
