Review of Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016) by Hardy C — 29 May 2016
Like its predecessor, "Alice" strays far from Carroll's unique vision. And like its origin film, it suffers as a result; bland, who cares? and so what? are the auto-responses of this "Alice The Book" fan.
Depp is again way over the top with his uber-mascara, the Cohen character doesn't even appear in the book and the entire focus on the Hatter's family barely registers a yawn. Off with their heads! is my suggestion for the fate of the producers, writers and directors.
