[/b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]A fine war film....humanist, full of rich detail, about life on a U-Boat. Creaky special effects are its only downside, but scintillating camera work and a wonderful set, allow the actors to do terrific work in their claustrophobic environment. Its about men in war, albeit from a German perspective. Negative arguments about revisionism dont hold water.....[i]A Must See if a war history buff, or if you simply like quality cinema.[/i][/size][/font].

[b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]The Incredibles[/size][/font].

[/b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]Clearly, mind blowingly animated...(especially for me their water rendering.) Still overall it had a middling perfunctory feel to it, dotted with occasional, winning, charming moments. It did'nt transcend the hype for me. [i]Though it shows that the perception of animated films is getting closer to seeing them become fully dramatic works...and not just cartoons.[/i][/size][/font].

[b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]The Eye[/size][/font].

[/b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]An enjoyable, stylish supernatural tale...[i]but a somewhat derivative one of Western films like The Sixth Sense and the Mothman Prophecies[/i]. Very nice camerawork and conception of the 'eye' effects. [/size][/font].

[b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]Bad Santa[/size][/font].

[/b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]Billy Bob is funny at playing a likable obnoxious drunk.....but....the film is very slight, and did'nt have the harder edge it needed. [i]It felt like a silly, trivial bit of tomfoolery in the end, an excuse for Billy Bob to do his Schtick.[/i][/size][/font].

[b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]Alien Hunter[/size][/font].

[/b][font=Times New Roman][size=3]Highly derivative Sci-Fi outing, managing to confound elements of Alien, E.T., Close Encounters, and The Thing. [i]Spader is always likable, but the film makes dullish moves towards turkeydom.[/i][/size][/font].
