AVP 1 was much better. I was hoping they would work on some of AVP 1 shortcomings in this movie, but they did not work on any of them. They threw out all of the good aspects of AVP 1 and replaced them with all of the bad aspects to make this movie.
I would barely consider this a Sci-Fi movie. It was more of a poorly written horror movie that happened to use Sci-Fi characters. This movie was a big letdown. AVP 1 had so much potential and I was hoping this movie would capitalize on that.
It didn't even come close.
