Review of Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007) by Jaymesburr — 27 Nov 2020

I don't know why there are so many negative comments for this movie, it was great! You would have to be thinking "AVPR is going to suck," to even think it is bad. I do realize that there is other people that gave this movie a nice, decent rating; but shame on those who didn't.

It wasn't PG-13, which already suggests it should be a halfway decent movie. The Predator kicks ass, especially with the blue liquid (I don't know why someone said those scenes were horrible) and blasts the heads clean off the potheads.

I will admit, a plot was somewhat absent from this movie, but if you look deeper the "plot" is the Predator killing off all the Aliens. The brutality was exceptional (I recall the scene of the one blonde girl running and she gets pinned against the wall by the Predator's razor disk.

I can perhaps see the side of those who hated it though, maybe their not hardcore fans of horror movies (I am), but cut it some slack.
