Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Glenn H — 07 Jun 2014
There is no way anyone with more than a day's sailing experience was consulted on this piece of junk. I love Redford but his "acting" here was bizarre as well - totally unrealistic expressions and actions considering the gravity of the situation.
I tried to imagine that the backstory was a suicidally depressed day sailor wanted to end it all while on xanax. However there were also massive holes in the plot related to the physics of going overboard, hypothermia, etc.
Thus I have to simply conclude the writer couldn't be bothered to consult anyone with experience and blew what could have been a great movie.
