Review of All That Jazz (1979) by Jonathan D — 07 Jan 2011
Hated it. From the very beginning, the picture moves with no narrative and pretentious imaginary scenes. The thing plays like a very expensive student movie - just full of its own cleverness. It isn't long before we see that we're not supposed to like Joe Gideon, and all that happens for most of the movie is that we get reminded, hounded, with illustrations.
