An endearing movie that owns its seemingly syrupy narrative with endearing characters, unabashed dedication to its thematic goals and endless levels of charm.
The real standout of this movie, for me, was Yann Tiersen's simple-yet-sublime score, which captures the setting of the movie so perfectly. Furthermore, the environments the characters exist within also feel as though they are perfectly matched, only adding to the movie's charm.
An excellent and relentlessly adorable love story, featuring a plucky protagonist who exists in a world full of character.
