So disappointing, doesnt live up to the hype, and Denzel's been better in everything apart from maybe The Preachers Wife. As for Russel Crowe, why on earth was he playing a cop just like he played the guy out of Beautiful Mind? This amazing true story should have been another godfather, but it wasn't.
...What on earth was I talking about??? I Have now seen the film 6/7 times, and It is incredible, I'm even starting to like Russell Crowe in it! I think I'd had a few beers before I watched it the first time? Such great characters, even in the small parts.
Its a film where all the elements - script, acting, cinematography, sound, all come together perfectly and oh so rarely, to do justice to a magnificent story. The best film I have ever seen.
