Review of An Actor Prepares (2018) by Max G — 26 Sep 2018
I would probably pay to watch Jeremy Irons on the phone with the cable company, but this film certainly does him justice. They deploy his talent in a way I haven't seen before, his gravitas somehow naturally working in a comedy.
He looks like he's having a great time. Somehow, while not fundamentally changing as a human being, his character Aticus Smith goes from unlikable to endearing over the course of the movie. Bonus points for naming the son Adam Smith.
