Review of An Evening with Kevin Smith (2002) by Andrew D — 15 Sep 2010
Usually this is the sort of thing I avoid like the plague, distant relatives, and visits to Wolverhampton. Kevin Smith goes around several colleges in the US hosting Q&A sessions, which get recorded, and the best bits cut into a massive 4 hour long movie.
What follows is Smith in his element, revelling in questions which analyse the messages in his movies, the style of his movies, his life, his friends, and of course whether he wants them to suck his cock. (Although it was only men asking...). He is a nice guy, with a witty, self-deprecating sense of humour, and the ability to captivate an entire room with a story. As well as the ability to turn the air blue.
An excellent watch, but only really for people who are fans already.
