This movie was just depressing. I adore James Rolfe's passion he has for movies, but his Angry Video Game character should have died at the end. I feel like James' heart isn't in it anymore.
His Monster Madness series still has that fun spark, but the Nerd isn't even really that angry anymore. I had high hopes for this movie and I was honestly let down. I mean I can tell the love for monster movies in this.
And why didn't James Rolfe just take a risk and make a monster movie? Let's be real the character of the Angry Video Game Nerd was more or less James and that's why it was great. Now it all feels hallow.
