The most frustrating aspect about this movie is that I know James can direct and produce good pieces, regardless of budget. The 'Mr Bucket' and 'The dragon in my dreams' are great examples of good things he can do, with simple effects.
This movie is weird all over, the character feels wrong. But the greatest sin of this movie is that its super boring. The effects could be even worse and I wouldn't care, if the story had any traction at all.
Not to mention the endless stream of 'famous' internet people and references to the web show. Felt like a cash in - even though I know it's not. I know it was a passion project, but it didn't felt like it.
What I liked: the scenes with the giant robot.?
