Annihilation is a slow burning story about a team of four women sent into Area X, a mysterious area cut off from the world. Dripping with creepiness and psychedelic descriptions, yet flowing with gripping and beautiful prose, this novel is a peek through a dark glass at the horrors - internal and external - that we must acknowledge in order to know ourselves. It got under our skin and stayed there.
