Review of Anomalisa (2015) by Michael B — 11 Dec 2015
There are certain films that, after the credits roll, happen to stay with you for a while; sometimes it's story and it's relatability, some other times it's beauty and it's originality.
Anomalisa happens to stay with you for all of those things. An existential piece on par with the also great Synchdoche, New York, Kaufman keeps proving himself as a director, while still being one of the best story tellers working today, and a personal favorite (writer's bias I guess).
