A breezy and utterly forgettable affair loaded with marginal dialogue and incredibly silly pseudo-science. You'd think that an entire baseball team EIGHT screenwriters could do better, but no one consulted anyone as to the ersatz scientific dialogue.

Even a high school general science textbook would have helped. Suspension of disbelief is one thing, but with dialogue this goofy, I couldn't help but sigh and groan, as did my wife and engineer son.

He nudged me and said "This is just awful." $162MM budget. Almost 2,000 filmmakers. The film was meh and felt interminable. Hardcore Marvel fans will no doubt love it, but the bar has been set quite low.

With brilliant discourse like the daughter who has been desperately searching for her mother saying "Mom, is that you?", when she walks into a well-lit room a few feet away, the dialogue hit new levels of groan-inducing power.

You may like it if you can turn off critical thought and enjoy mindless action and a shallow storyline with stakes no one in the theater seemed to care about. I certainly didn't.
