Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) by Brett L — 26 Oct 2018
Nice self contained movie - didn't really need to see the first movei but it would help a lot. Didn't waste time retelling the origin, and you don't need to have 30 yars of comics reading uncer your belt.
Minimal Easter Eggs and "check-list scenes." No famous supervillians, just lots of action. A couple of the gags fell flat and one running joke in particular got old fast (will the suit work or will it not?) Luis and the rest of the gang are there for a few scenes but the focus is on family.
Loved it that when it looked like Scott's daughter was going to be used as a hostage she didn't. Lots of great comic book action, the goofy kind that works.
