The inclusion of The Wasp is a nice welcome, but the film's overfamiliar jokes and weak villain prevents it from ever breaking new grounds. "Ant-Man and The Wasp" is a "play it safe" sequel that will satisfy the kiddies, but when it comes to the adults, they won't take it seriously as much as the other Marvel films that come before it.
Plus, there are few questionable cuts that will make the film feel jarring and uneven. It's a comedy that forces itself rather than letting the comedy play out.
