Review of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) by Pib — 20 Jun 2023
Pros- The characters aren't too bad and the visuals are impressive. Janet is more fleshed out, shown as more flawed instead of being a mary sue,but not too flawed to the point of being an anti-hero. The plot is decent and not that bad. Ant-man's motivation for getting the core retains his one deciding trait for changing and turning his life around: his love for Cassie, which is a trait that is admirable in its own. Kang is not too shabby, being one of those evil cos why not sort of villains. I'm a little tired of sympathatic ones, tho I wouldn't mind it.
Cons- The film's story could have better and have more emotional impact if the pacing was a little slower. They also could have given more focus to Hank and Hope, especially Hank, because now he seems to be just comic relief, making him out of focus despite him being important to Ant man's life and franchise at the start.
