Review of Antitrust (2001) by Allan C — 06 Dec 2014
Not a terrible thriller, but pretty bland. Tim Robbins plays an evil Bill Gates who hires the hotshot founder of a small startup, Ryan Phillippe. Things get complicated for Phillippe when he discovers that evil-Bill Gates has nefarious ways of dealing with antitrust accusations and Phillippe then becomes evil-Bill Gates next target.
Rachael Leigh Cook plays a fellow programer, Claire Forlani is Phillippe's girlfriend (who I don't think Ive seen in much lately) and Richard Roundtree plays a concerned detective (though not John Shaft).
I did like the allergy poisoning scene which seemed kind of clever, but this thriller is pretty run of the mill.
