Review of Any Given Sunday (1999) by Giovanni M — 13 Sep 2014
When I first heard of Any Given Sunday I wondered "why was I not shown this? My father showed me every football movie!" however after watching it I realized why, this is an Oliver Stone film filled with drugs, swearing, and everything not suitable for eight=year-old me.
Despite this, I actually really enjoyed the film. The acting is great (except for Cameron Diaz who is just meh), the football scenes is exhilarating, and the pacing keeps you entertained throughout the nearly three-hour run-time.
The only problem I had with it is that it peaks in the first game when it comes to the football scenes. For some reason none of the other games were as enticing. That aside, this is great movie for football and Oliver Stone fans.
