Review of Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood (2022) by Benjanzen — 13 May 2022
I was really surprised by how much I liked Apollo 10½ . It's a nostalgic throwback to the 60s mixed with a fantastical space adventure that I got lost in. I loved the simplicity of it all, and the joyful exploration of this time period and this wonderfully realized family's life.
It's a film that feels so personal and specific but universally relatable and familiar. The animation style here isn't my favourite, but they use it to it's full advantage and it ultimately suits this story well.
Killer soundtrack too.
