Review of Atlas Shrugged: Part II (2012) by Michael L — 12 Oct 2012
This film was outstanding. Rand's central themes were well presented. The contemporary references were very amusing, presented in a fictional context. Samantha Mathis portrayed Dagney Taggert with emotion and sincerity.
Jason Beghe was the perfect Hank Reardon. Esai Morales totally captured the character of Francisco d'Anconia . The quality acting was not limited to them alone. The entire cast was great. They really captured the spirit of the book.
Which is why many of the "professional" critics are predisposed to pan the film. It presents a perspective that they disfavor. No doubt some of those critics wish to see it fail. Do not be fooled by them.
Atlas Shrugged Part II is both entertaining and thought-provoking.
