Review of August Underground's Mordum (2003) by David F — 22 Jun 2007

In all honesty this movie is very, very boring. Yes it does have a fair amount of fucked up shit, but for the most part all this movie is made up of is screaming and laughing maniacs fucking around. They could have cut the movie down to 20 minutes and removed all the unneeded filler (playing in the snow?!?). The filler scenes hurt the movie as they break the tension, I would prefer an unrelenting movie which does not give me a chance to calm down. I wanted to be disturbed, I really did. But instead my mind kept wandering?.Fuck I started reading while I waited for the movie to return to the gore. I would only recommend this to people who appreciate extreme gore, and even then I would recommend skipping over most of the film to a few key parts (Intestine removal, and the self-castration), because the rest is crap. In general these pseudo-snuff films blow. I need a real story, a real movie.

P.S. Everyone says it?s hard to see this entire movie in one sitting. Well I would have to agree, it is so fucking boring at times that it becomes hard to stay awake in order to watch it.
