The plot was all over the place. The hunting of the hyper-sentient whales came out of nowhere. They failed to give a basis for how or why the whale hunters arrived at Pandora. Lack of thematic focus. I mean, can someone tell me what The Way of The Water is? They gave it so many definitions my head spun.
However, the lack of the plot was made up for by the visual magnificence of the CGI.
