Review of Back in Time (2015) by Ian T — 06 Jul 2017
Back in Time is directed by Jason Aron, and it's a documentary about making of the Back to the Future films and how much did it made an impact on the fans who remember it to this day. I was going through my list on Netflix to see what I should watch, but then I was thinking that I either haven't seen a horror film in a while, or a documentary.
So when I saw this that was based on the series that I really enjoyed, I figure I should watch that to waste time, and it's a solid one at that. The production of the films were interesting as to how they were made, and what studios they had to go through in order to show the film in theaters.
It's also nice to show what the fans made to keep the movies alive and how much it meant to them. The issues that I have with it are that it praises the movie a bit too much, and I get that people need to praise it, but it's at the point that I was like, "All right, I get it, the movie made a difference for you.
" There were some aspects that I didn't find interesting like some of the fans' stories, and that there's not much behind the scenes on all of the movies that I wanted to know about. I wasn't quite as entertaining as I want the film to be, but Back in Time is a good enough effort that I got something out of it that I'll remember.
