Review of Back in Time (2015) by Patrick K — 24 Jul 2016
"Back in Time" is a sweet homage to the "Back to the Future" trilogy and to the cool folks who love it. I have a weakness for documentaries about people who devote absurd portions of their time and wealth to the goofy stuff they love. The only downside of this genre is that occasionally the subjects come off as creepy. Not so in "Back in Time." I respected and was delighted by the intense obsessions of these BTTF nuts, and I wouldn't object to a sequel a few years into the ... uh ... future.
If you like "Cinemania," "Wordplay," "Word Wars," "Trekkies," "Trekkies 2," and "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters" you will surely enjoy spending time with "Back in Time." Ultimately, I was not immune to catching a mild case of this BTTF Fever. Shortly after watching this film, I ordered the Blu-ray "Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Trilogy.".
So my advice is to set the download speed of your DeLorean cable modem to 88 Mbps and head to the nearest movie streaming site. (And try not to change history too much, ya hear?).
